Bank Independent is pleased to announce the promotions of Melanie Dobbs and Kyle Mangum to Senior Vice President – Sales Officer. Both serve customers at the bank’s Pine Street sales office in Florence.

“These promotions reflect the experience, leadership, and commitment to customer service that Melanie and Kyle bring to Bank Independent every day,” said Andy Mann, Shoals Area President. “Both have demonstrated a strong understanding of our local market, a dedication to building lasting relationships, and a genuine passion for helping our customers and communities succeed. We are proud to recognize their accomplishments and look forward to their continued leadership.”

Melanie Dobbs has been promoted to Senior Vice President – Sales Officer. Since joining Bank Independent in November 2005, Dobbs has brought extensive experience in commercial, business, and private banking. Her banking career also includes previous roles with NationsBank, AmSouth Bank, and Colonial Bank. With more than two decades at Bank Independent, she continues to use her experience and knowledge to provide financial solutions and build strong customer relationships throughout the Shoals.

Kyle Mangum has been promoted to Senior Vice President – Sales Officer. Mangum joined Bank Independent in February 2019 as a credit analyst before transitioning to a sales officer role in October 2020. His background includes 10 years of experience managing his family’s business, Mattress Country, providing valuable insight into the needs of local businesses. He is also a 2022 graduate of Alabama Banking School. Mangum remains actively involved in the Shoals community, serving on the boards of Florence/Lauderdale Tourism, the University of North Alabama Foundation, YMCA of the Shoals, and the Florence Education Foundation. He is also a member of the Rotary Club of Florence.

The promotions recognize Dobbs' and Mangum's contributions to Bank Independent and their continued commitment to delivering exceptional service, strengthening customer relationships, and supporting the communities the bank serves.
