About Alabama Banking School
Organized in 1975 and sponsored by the Alabama Banking Association, the Alabama Banking School (ABS) has provided a planned environment for the study of banking tailored to the needs of Alabama banks for more than 50 years. The ABS uses a combination of highly qualified instructors, and a rigorous curriculum to teach bankers through a course of study spanning 24 months with three, one-week resident sessions each year and comprehensive home study in between. In the third year, students participate in the BankExec simulation, a team exercise that tests their overall grasp of banking decision-making.
