Sheffield, Ala. – Wednesday, October 23, 2019 - Bank Independent is pleased to announce the promotion of DeMarco McClain to the position of Senior Vice President Sales Officer serving the Madison County area from the Huntsville sales office.
McClain joined the Bank in 2015 as Vice President Sales Officer. He graduated from the 2012 Leadership Greater Huntsville Connect Class 14 and remains an active volunteer for Leadership Greater Huntsville. McClain brings over 20 years of banking experience with an emphasis in both consumer and commercial lending and commercial loan underwriting.
“One of the opportunities I appreciate about lending is getting to build relationships with many different levels of business owners,” reflects McClain. “Sometimes it is assisting a single-family property investor with a $60k loan, other times, it is working with an owner of a large multi-tenant commercial property, or Government Contractor with a $20 million loan. I enjoy approaching each scenario with a focus on providing the best possible, most efficient and competitive product available to satisfy the needs of my customer.”
McClain is deeply involved in Bank Independent’s extensive community and economic development efforts. He is an advocate of the bank’s Helping Hands initiatives which provide focused support to the community. In his personal time, McCain is very active in the Huntsville community and currently serves on the Board of Directors for Christian Women’s Job Corp Madison County. He also volunteers for Willowbrook Church and the Village of Promise.

McClain earned a BS in Business Administration from Auburn University Montgomery in 2002 and his MBA from Troy University in 2014. DeMarco McClain and his wife Clarissa reside in Huntsville with their son Dylan.
