Bank Independent is proud to announce that Huntsville City President DeMarco McClain has been named one of Business Alabama Magazine's 20 Rising Stars for Banking in 2023. This prestigious list highlights leaders shaping the future of banking in Alabama.
"On behalf of Bank Independent, I want to congratulate DeMarco on being named one of Business Alabama's 20 Rising Stars for Banking,” Bank Independent President Macke Mauldin said. “This honor recognizes DeMarco's immense talents and exemplary leadership as our Huntsville City President. He is deeply engaged with the Huntsville community, constantly innovating to serve their needs. This acknowledgment from Business Alabama Magazine is well-deserved and there is no doubt DeMarco McClain is a rising star in Alabama banking, and we are thrilled to have him leading our Huntsville team.
McClain earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Auburn University Montgomery in 2002 and an MBA from Troy University in 2014. He graduated from the University of South Alabama’s Banking School in 2018 and is active with the Alabama Bankers Association. He is a graduate of the LSU School of Banking and has more than 20 years of experience in banking.
“I am deeply honored to be recognized as one of the 20 Rising Stars of Banking for 2023,” McClain said. “I owe much of this success to my colleagues at Bank Independent who have been invaluable mentors and supporters. We are doing incredible work to serve our customers and communities and being part of such a dedicated team inspires me daily to aim higher and work harder.”
McClain works with Christian Job Corps of Madison County, the Village of Promise, Huntsville’s Committee of 100, and Huntsville’s Public Building Authority. He has also served on the Board of control for The Von Braun Center for the past three years.
