Sheffield, Ala. – Wednesday, June 15, 2022 – Bank Independent will launch its ninth annual School Share drive on June 27th to benefit local school children through the “$5 Helps Carry the Cost” campaign. School supplies and donations will be accepted at all locations of Bank Independent, by PayPal and through scheduled collection events until July 15. Bank Independent works with local partner organizations across their seven-county footprint to ensure donations are distributed to area families in need.

All locations of Bank Independent will serve as donation points for pet food and supplies designated for local animal shelters. Bank Independent will close the drive on May 20th with Adoption Day sponsoring the adoption application fee for animals adopted from partner shelters.
Bank Independent distributed over $21,338 in cash donations along with 4,408 items of non-perishable food in support of the eighth annual Food Share drive “Feed a Family for $5 with Food Share” campaign. These donations created a financial impact of $34,562 for local food banks across North Alabama and area families in need.
